[News] MOGEF slams Huh Gak, Kim Hyun Joong, and more for ‘dangerous content’ in MVs

This is absurd. I am hating MOGEF more. After Please, really??? Wow. There are some other videos on my list than I can say offensive, and yet it is not banned.

The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family (‘MOGEF‘) have just revealed their first batch of ‘dangerous material’ for 2012.
On January 16th, the MOGEF announced that they’ve censored the music videos for Huh Gak’s “Hello” and Kim Hyun Joong’s “Lucky Guy” due to its inappropriate content for minors.

The MOGEF claims that Huh Gak’s “Hello” is too violent, while Kim Hyun Joong’s “Lucky Guy” encourages recklessness.

Joining Huh Gak and Kim Hyun Joong on the list are Simon D, Tablo, and Yoon Mi Rae. Simon D’s “Cheerz” has been censored because of the MV’s inclusion of “hazardous substances” and “immoral lodgings”, while Tablo’s “Bad” contains “portrayals of violence and appearance of hazardous substances”. Yoon Mi Rae’s “Get It In” has likewise been struck out for its scenes of violence.

The censorship will go into effect starting January 23rd.

  1. that's absurd!! :(

  2. MOGEF really a trouble maker, that is why that love TroubleMaker's "pure" performance, but find leader's lucky guy a big deal.

  3. leader will going to perform lucky guy on the lunar new year show in China, hope this will not affect that.

  4. MOGEF is only.Korea right? It should not affect KHJ singing performances that includes the song "Lucky"i in other countries like China and Japan.

I agree it's ridiculous for MOGEF to ban the music video "Lucky". Maybe the reason they pick on KHJ's songs it's because of his out of this world popularity and they want to use him to get out their message without spending a cent. So UNFAIR !!!

  5. i am curious. do the members from MOGEF watch the others' MVs besides the artists on the list ?!
i just can not figure it out. there are some improper MVs that really not suit for the young, but those MVs they find them safe and no harm.

  6. It doesn't matter if they ban the videos or not. No one really watches them on TV anyway. They watch them on YT and the MOGEF has no control over that what so ever, so they are wasting their time. The MOGEF really needs to start focusing on the important things and not just focusing on K-Pop.

  7. MOGEF is well known for being stupid.everyone complained about them.Hyun Joong already done Lucky Guy's promotion circle in Korea...They way too late anyway.

my opinion? MOGEF just can't handle Hyun Joong's hotness...lol

    1. Hotness overload - that's for sure. LOL

  8. MOGEF ?!
really hope all leader's future performances will not be affected at all by this.
leader, all the best in 2012, do well & establish your career successfully in China , Japan ...... & all other countries besides in Korean ^^

  9. It was just the MV that got banned not the song so it shouldn't effect him in any way really other than what time the MV is allowed to be shown on TV.

  10. recent MV Troublemaker from Hyunseung and Hyuna depicts explicit sexuality and of course they totting guns too. what isn't it banned? oh wait, perhaps MOGEF needs about 2 months to review every MV. i agree with you MOGEF double standard is beyond me. but the ban will only apply to his MV right? so he has no problem performing the song.
