Why Hyun Joong Was Not In MAMA 2011's RED CARPET

It actually irritated me to see this video... Just because Hyun joong wasnt in the MAMA Red Carpet, he gets to be called a snob? Before you call someone that, get your facts straight.

Here's the video:

Here's a fan account from SP501 from lovekimhyunjoong.com

From what I could see, I believe that Hyun Joong was all ready to walk the red carpet.
It's just that they had a bit of a hiccup with the traffic, and the cars couldn't get out of the carpark and loop back quickly enough to take the artistes to the red carpet. The show was running late. So, he was unable to walk the red carpet because they had to cut this short and start the show inside on time....

The carpark had only ONE entrance and exit access, so, as VIPs like the invited guests and the Korean Ambassador to Singapore started arriving, the cars used for ferrying the stars to the red carpet couldn't get out... there was also a massive jam outside the car park, which means the ferrying of the stars from one side of the stadium to the red carpet was backed up - so I guess that's why they ran out of time, and had to cut down the number of stars walking the red carpet.

On tv, one would think the stars come from somewhere else - to "arrive" at the red carpet.
Sorry to burst your bubble.
They actually "arrive" at the venue - from backstage.

  7. I am shocked when I know this news. I waited during 2 hours to see him going on the red carpet, but he didn't. So I though it's simply because he had to prepair for his performance. I can't imagine that he will be called a snop only due to this small problem. Should I think of them as the crazy? What a stupid thinking for them to call him a snop! >"< So sorry... but I can't keep calm!

I can't watch this video because it't a private video. What a pity! Can you help me? :(

  12. It is true that Hyun Joong was the only overseas star that did not walk the red carpet but I really don't think it was such a big deal whether he walked on the red carpet or not. Certainly don't deserve to be called a snob because of that. Talked about being a snob, Lee Byeong Hyun was even a bigger snob as he did not even bothered to stop to be interviewed and just walked on!! Stupid Reporter!!

But I concurred with Anon@1.31pm, let's give Hyun Joong a good Christmas present by letting him win again at Yahoo Asia Buzz as the top Asia Star. Please hurry and vote for him as much as you can!

  13. I saw the video and felt like killing the reporter..they seem so biased( singing praises of SuJu and their leader). I think the reporters are simply trying to blacken poor KHJ's name-other wise why should they single out his name and give him such unfair treatment(i don't believe that he was the only star to miss walking the red carpet)? I agree with the Anonymous, the Henecians should take up this issue and make the TV station apologize to KHJ! and i also agree that we should now make more efforts to make him win Yahoo Buzz Awards( triple crown would be a sweet revenge against those who try to destroy his good image!)

  18. I'm not saying that what Razortv did was right to label him a snob but then among the stars there he was the only one who did not grace the red carpet.
I attended the MAMA coz of KHJ & was lucky to be at Pen B area where the artistes were seated nearby. From what I observed of KHJ, he lived up to his "Guljo" image both in look & attitude. The most animated he only was was when he received the award and during his performance. Then right after his number around 830pm (MAMA was until 10pm) he went MIA. He did not go back to the seat like what the others did. My friend & I were even theorizing that maybe he was catching the late flight to Korea, which was not the case since he only went back the afternoon of the next day.
Pls I'm not maligning KHJ here, Im just stating what I observed during the event. As a fan it was quite a letdown but then as a fan we give him the benefit of the doubt as well. PEACE;)

  19. @anonymous 4:30 am - You do realize he just got done with a Japan tour right? I think you are lucky he was even there at all. He was obviously very tired. It showed on his face. I am so tired of fans expecting them to be at their beck and call 24/7. He has to rest, eat, and sleep like the rest of us. Give him a break. Geez.

  20. Hello Guys! KATHY HERE! ^^

I see a lot of you are quite irritated too with this snob award. I am too. But I guess we just have to let it go and move forward. I am sure KHJ will not be happy to see us hating one station just because of this. But I am also sure that he doesnt want to be called a snob either.

However, I thought about it and I think its best to just let it go. I agree with the last commenter. That he is also a human being that needs to rest. ^^ But Im not saying that anon 4:30 am is not right. Its her experience...

Let's just let it go and focus on what's more important guys ok? Which is the Yahoo Buzz Awards.

I love you all everyone! ^^

  21. Kathy I think it good to let this go but by voicing our opinion we are letting KHj know that he is not all alone in this.. By showing our support we are letting others know KHj s real personality.. Hope KHj doesn't feel bad about this which I don't think he will coz he is so positive.. Anyways, if that station has an opinion about KHj, we have an opinion about them too..

Hope he cam win the buzz award to show everyone how much he is loved.

  22. but, admit it girls, aren't guys who are mysterious, a bit-snobby, a little aloof EXTREMELY attractive?

dang, every little thing he does and doesn't do is magic... at least to me :-)

  23. cont'd....

by the way, i'm in Singapore and I say let this go. it's a small issue. sometimes, the best way to kill an issue is to just let it die a natural death.
