Anyways, to the point of my email today. In preparation for the 2nd leg of HJ's promo with Kiss Kiss (KK), after discussion with our friends in Korea + China, we have been advised to start streaming for KK + Break Down (BD) together from this week onwards. HJ said this is the last wk for BD - and after this wk, he will rest 1 wk, then it will be KK. However, we do not know what is the specific date of his 'comeback' with KK. It could be on the 14th of July if he's doing it through Mnet, or it could be the 15th if he is starting with MuBank. Regardless, we're streaming KK now to get him points through the KBS viewers ratings survey - which some of you may have noticed were 0 for new songs. We wanna start early so that KK can start accumulating points on the 1st wk itself. Once HJ officially kicks off KK promo properly - then we will FOCUS on KK alone.
[Note1: Some of you may have noticed in the previous wins that our Digital Sales (Daily) is actually comparable to f(x) + Secret, but our RT is low. We suspect this is becoz of mass downloads in 1 or 2 hours, where BD is pushed up sky-high in 1 hour, then fall spectacularly in the nxt hour. Hence we recommend spacing out your mass DLs. Stream + DL every hour]

I think some of you may already know that my friends + I have been liaising with some Korean fan clubs since a couple of weeks ago to do more for HJ in terms of digital sales - so that our efforts are more concerted + strategised. They also helped a great deal in clarifying + informing us about certain streaming peculiarities to look out for. They have also shared some streaming IDs with us so that we can help them stream as they buy credit for streaming + DLs, esp. in bigger + more important digital sites like Mnet + Melon, where foreign fans can't buy streaming passes (Mnet: we used to be able to, but now can't anymore). Melon + Mnet are also a bit tedious compared to Soribada (continuous streaming) as they had to be manually monitored (login + logout every hour) becoz of their new streaming rules.

Specifically, Hyun Joong fans club in Korea has already posted on its board that they will start DL + ST (ST = streaming) of KK from 12amKST on July 1st (midnight tonight).
Whereas HJ Telzone have already started streaming KK right after Mnet's MCountDown, at 8pmKST.
There are also some other HJ fan clubs who are going to start streaming this wk, but only mass DL KK nxt week.
So while we recommend starting streaming KK NOW, it is up to you when you guys want to rally your followers/fan club members to start DLs.
If you're planning mass DLs (it'd be great if you can galvanise HJ supporters around you + collect money for this), may we also recommend that instead of THROWING in your DLs all in 1 or 2 hours, to space out the DLs in every hour. This way, the DLs will couple with the ST to push up KK in the Real-Time chart (RT).

As for album sales, the Limited Edition is now going to be released on July 5th, instead of June 30. This is nice-timing because its sales will then be counted for KK's promo.
I'm emailing you guyz coz I have liaised with you guys at one time or another before either via email or on Twitter so thought that it's easier if I just send this out rather than DM you separately on Twitter. We are sharing this because we think we can only do more when we are united + concerted in our efforts so pls feel free to spread this to other fellow HJ supporters. =)

I think the foreign fans need our Korea counterpart to give us detail instructions of how to vote on Mnet and how to stream since we can't read these music sites.

for Mnet foreign fans voting, I've noticed that the highest points is 1500. I know we spend a lot of times casting 60 ~ 80 votes per day and a lot of people are doing it. Should we continue doing this or just keep the votes a little higher than the next candidate be enough ?
To make your streaming count - in ALL digital sites - you MUST DELETE the downloaded song. If you're streaming KK (whether Mnet, Melon, Soribada, etc.) but you didn't delete the downloaded version in your computer, the player WILL replay the song from your computer instead. [Don't worry about deleting the song - u can re-download it later (after our battle) - at no extra credit. Only the 1st download of the song is counted.]
ReplyDeleteIn Mnet + Melon - where you need to login + stream + log-out within the hour (every hour), YES, you need to DELETE the list BEFORE you log-out, EVERY HOUR.

1) For Mnet + Melon
- Every hour stream the song(s) 1 time
For e.g: to be counted into Real-time 14:00
- Login from 13:00
- Stream 'Kiss Kiss' once
- Delete playlist
- Logout before 14:00
- Exit M!Player [The player tends to 'hide' in the lower-right hand bar of your screen (the list of minimised items where the clock + volume control are sitting together) so look for it, right-click it, and choose the LAST option to exit it properly]
There is a 'blind' hour every day where the streaming is not counted as the digital site uses the time to tally up the streaming marks for the day. This is between 12am KST - 1am KST for Mnet, SO, make sure you:
- Logout before 11.50pm KST + Login again after 1am KST
2) For Soribada:
- DON'T mute/skip/pause when streaming
- IF your connection died or you muted/skipped /paused, clear your playlist immediately + log out. Relog-in again to start again.
- Do not leave messages on the site.
- Log out before 11.50pm KST + relog-in after 12.30am KST [This is the 'blind' period for Soribada]
As for Mnet Voting, EVERY SINGLE vote counts. As you pointed out, the highest point is 1500 - so whoever gets the biggest percentage of the votes, get the most marks. So the higher percentage we have, the more marks we will get! It is not good enough to just keep the votes "a little higher than the next candidate"! Please know that this is a very important component in Mnet MCountDown (contributes 15% to total marks), ESPECIALLY when the fight is tight with other rivals. One ID can only vote 1x a day - so please continue voting! We SERIOUSLY need every hand on deck.

Why do you have to delete the song? I know they save your IP address for the music card but they don't have access to what's on your computer, so how would they even know you still have the song on your computer or not? Someone needs to clarify this.
ReplyDeleteThe MNET and Melon players that you downloaded into your computer CAN find the song on your computer and re-play them instead of streaming afresh from the site if you have the song anywhere in your computer. For safety's sake, all Henecians are taking the same precaution with Soribada, where it was initially recommended to just move the downloaded song to a different folder. You don't have to worry about deleting the song becoz you can always re-dowload it (at no extra credit) after his promotion ends. Multiple downloads of the same song is not counted - only the 1st download is.

ReplyDeleteYou don't have to delete it. You can move it to your flash drive. This way, you'll have the song and it's not on your pc.
Yes - essentially when u 'move it to ur flash drive' or pen drive, u are actually removing the song frm ur computer. That's basically what delete does too. Either way is fine as long as the song is no longer in ur computer.

ReplyDeleteYes, in Mnet + Melon, you have to delete the list be4 you log-out + exit the player every hour to be counted into the hourly Real-Time chart.
For Mnet online poll - the more votes the singer gets, the higher his points will be. The points are delegated according to the percentage of points the singer gets out of the total votes casted. So it is not enough to 'just keep the votes a little' higher than the next candidate. This contributes 15% to the total points on the MCountDown - an important component esp when it is a tight fight. So pls keep voting on whichever song he's promoting whenever the poll opens at 9amKST every Fri - Mon (ends) 9amKST.
