Kim Hyun Joong 5th Among Stars Who Plop Down Some Serious Cash On Parents

Singer Lee Hyori was selected as the #1 star to give the most for the parents.

On the ‘Amazing Ranking’ segment of the July 13th episode of tvN‘s enews, they ranked the stars that have given the most to their families.

The 10th place went to Girls’ Generation member Taeyeon, who bought the most expensive apartment in Jeonju for her parents. The value of the apartment is estimated between 400,000,000 ($375,000 USD at the time of press) to 700,000,000 KRW ($600,000), which makes it almost as expensive as the luxury apartments in Seoul.

Miss A’s Suzy was placed on #9 and JYJ’s Park Yoochun took the 8th spot. Park Yoochun bought an icecream parlor for his mother in Apgujeong , Seoul. He has been the head of the household since his parents got divorced and has done a marvelous job as a son and an older brother.

Super Junior’s Yesung came in at #7. Yesung bought a house and an eyewear shop for his parents. Actress Soo Ae took the #6 spot on the list. It is a well known fact that Soo Ae was born in a very poor family and she single handedly turned things around for the entire family after she’s become a star.

Kim Hyun Joong ranked at 5th place, he bought a chicken restaurant and an apartment building with stores in the lower floor for his parents. The 4th spot went to Premier League football star Park Ji Sung, who bought a house worth 3,600,000,000 KRW ($3.1 million) for his parents.

Actress Song Hye Kyo ranked #3, she bought a 5000sq ft. home for her parents not long after she debuted.

Actor Won Bin took the #2 spot, the actor is well known to have been an auto mechanic before he debuted as an actor. He bought the famous ‘Route House’ for his parents, which won an award at the ’2008 Korean Architecture’ award.

Finally, singer Lee Hyori got the nod as the #1 most giving star. She bought a home worth 1,00,000,000 KRW ($870,000) for her parents and she bought a multi-story building where her sisters reside, and she also bought a building for her aunt.
