Kim Hyun-joong has said he will show deeper affection toward his co-star Jung So-min in the YouTube version of his latest TV series "Naughty Kiss."
"There are no regulations or restrictions to what is broadcast through YouTube so we'll be able to express our affection to each other in a deeper way. Hence, you'll get to see a more natural-looking married couple," Kim said with a smile of the newly produced online version of the drama which tells of the twos characters married life.
Directed by Hwang In-roi of "Goong" (MBC, 2006) and "The Return of the Iljimage" (MBC, 2009) fame, Kim and actress Jung So-min had starred in the TV show which ran for eight weeks from early September on public network MBC.
The TV show's producer Group 8 and YouTube owner Google came together to create a YouTube version which was newly shot in seven ten-minute long episodes with the same cast and director from the TV show but with new or additional details.
Song Byung-joon, CEO of Group 8, explained that he focused on making each episode fun and distinctive since a TV drama has continuity to its story but it would not be the case for the web-based version.
Showing every Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, the online version of "Naughty Kiss" will premiere at 7 p.m. today and run till November 16. Two episodes containing behind the scenes clips will show on November 17 and 18.

On this day, CEO of Group Eight who hails from the production company Song Byung-jun, executive of Youtube channel Jung-Kim Kyung-suk, as well as pratagonists Kim Hyun-joong, Jung So-min attended to this press conference.
Ever since the opening of its official channel in just 3 weeks time, it has already reached 650,000 views for its channel; this special youtube edition of [Playful Kiss] will begin to air at 7PM starting from November 2 onwards till November 18 on every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. It is expected to release its 7 episodes through its official youtube channel as it anticipates to attract the attention and concern of users from all over the world.
On this day's press conference, Song Byung-jun CEO has had expressed, "This is a very meaningful opportunity for our dramas to aim for the 'world drama' status throughout the world", "And thus so, we will give all our best wholeheartedly for this time so as not to dampen the high anticipation fans have on this work". After which, Jung-Kim Kyung-suk executive also added, "This places a significance to us where the entire world will be placing their huge amount of attention on our works that will go on video-sharing platforms, and with this, it is expected in future that it will largely magnify our superior Hanryu contents business towards our Korea cultural development plans that we will hold", as he pours confidence.
The protagonist of this drama Kim Hyun-joong also adds, "Not only Korea, but the entire world where every body comes to congregate at one single video. This world where people will come together to share just a sole video, it's really nothing but amazing", "If only our Playful Kiss Special youtube version will be added on with such titles and becomes yet another hit, it will be lovely".
