Seems like a korean fan has called up Group Eight about the YT version for PK

and here's the subsequent account:
Said G8 has been studying the comments to understand the fans' thoughts and stuff
on PK's official site and also on Hyun Joong's fansites.
The online spin-off will be in episodes of 10 minutes each,
and each episode is its own story.

well, as we all know, filming for the YT version started yesterday (27th, Wed)
and a korean fan(?) was lucky enough to be on the set and shared the following info,
which was then further shared and translated into chinese on HYUNBAR

Please remember that there still 9 episodes from the manga which still remain although we saw part of EP22 in the last episode of the TV series. Perhaps you want to watch the anime to have an idea of what the scenes are ^_^ EP15 & 16 has shown how creative Korean writers are. Showing more details and adding a lot of different scenes. For example, SeungJo and HaNis arguments for a typical engaged couple, SeungJo talking to HaNis oppa for a visit to the cemetery, SeungJo & HaNi after a peace & make-up discussing further their wedding, tickling scene, HaNi with oppa talking sincerely and practing the wedding march, JoonGu sentiments alone, HaNi talking to JoonGu in that playground, CPR and SeungJo teaching HaNi again, a dinner date on a Christmas eve instead of a birthday, a woman collision victim instead of a man, a tour in Jejus museums instead of beach scenes, HaNi failing the interview instead of passing but perhaps a better story will be shown in the special edition, plus HaNis friend MA & JR finding their own happiness in career & lovelife. HR & KS finally ending up together. Actually I consider the last two episodes as original very different from the anime except that we expected honeymoon scene to see & that rival newly married lady. So we expect more understanding and maturity between the two. There will more trials in their relationship related more to time for each other, trust and understanding the demands of each others profession. HaNi will perhaps be introduced more to SeungJos family. It seems so easy if marital concerns unfold on screen but in reality married life involves too a lot of sacrifices. These trials you will see will even improve the relationship of this couple we have come to love ^_^ So sorry for such a long comment

ReplyDeleteI have watched the anime already and I have to commend the Korean version cause it is really really similar...
And after the married life, there are indeed stuggles..More or so, in their couple life and not individually..So, I cant imagine if fans dont want more couple scenes cause indeed, there will be lots..I dont know how Group 8 would change it if ever...

Was it a fan or some fans? Numbers make a difference. Or this is a another case of a translations misinterpretation? I believe that if the Korean writers will indeed based a little with the anime, there is no reason for Koreans to raise this issue. Did they watch the anime? Koreans have also a chance to contribute stories or scripts, isn't there supposedly a writing contest only for Korean fans. They should take advantage instead of making unnecessary issues ^_^

there are so many plots in the anime and the manga that weren't shown in playful kiss like ( spoilers spoilers ) NAOKI's cousin , or preggy kotoko or Keita ...
